I often get compliments on this shirt when I wear it. It is somewhat reflective in a nice color. When I wear it to go walking, it is lightweight and when there is a breeze, it really cools me off.Love this top. Great color, nice texture, perfect size. The fabric keeps cool. Perfect for cancer patience with sun allergy.I am a PE teacher in FL so I wear UV long sleeve everyday. I started wearing ones with a hood instead of wearing a hat. This hood doesn't come far enough forward to stay on my head. I do get the protection on the back of my neck. Otherwise, I love the shirt.I purchased this because I was looking for a lightweight, breathable sun hoodie to wear while backpacking. My partner has a REI version that is half the thickness of this material and is cool to wear while hiking through the humid forest, but I’m an avid Columbia fan and thought I’d try this instead. BIG mistake. First time wearing it I was miserable and stripped it off within 2 miles of our 10+ mile day. As soon as I took it off I had instant relief - absolutely NOT what I was going for as I then had to lug the thing in my pack for the rest of the trip. It would be a good layer in fall or winter to add - or perhaps if you’re hiking in especially windy areas - but this is more of heat retaining layer than a heat relieving layer in my opinion. The material feels bulky, heavy and cheap and I managed to snag it on my pack - not underbrush, not a scramble, my literal backpack. Needless to say - this will be used for layers while walking at home in the winter with the dog. I’d hate to see what it would look like as an outer wear item while actually hiking - it would have snagged on *everything*.It’s not especially soft either and generally wasn’t very comfortable. The thumb holes are in a weird position and I found my sleeves twisting as a result in a way that wasn’t comfortable while doing lots of moving with trekking poles.Fit on the shirt is good and sleeves are long enough even if you have longer arms. Unfortunately, the fabric snags really easily, which isn't ideal for something meant to be worn while outside fishing. The hood opening starts at about the collarbone, so it leaves your neck and possibly chest more exposed than I was hoping for in a sun-protective shirt. The cut of the hood is different on the men's version and that one is a better fit for the sun protection I was hoping for.I bought this in 2 colors and love them! The white cleans up well too. I bought this to wear spectating at an outdoor mountain bike competition, and it got dirty (grass, mud, dirt, sweat) and it washed up well with a little oxyclean pretreatment. I sat in direct sunlight between noon and 5pm two days in a row - 100° heat index with 65% humidity. I don't like heat, but this shirt did not add to the heat at all!I'm 5'5", 260lbs, and usually wear a 2x or women's size 20 - with a 40C chest. Let's just say I'm a classic ginger who burns very easy, and live with a skin condition (erythema multiforme) which is triggered by excess sun exposure. I can't rate this top highly enough. Would buy again.I tried this shirt because I wanted to reduce sun exposure during walks. This shirt is hot to wear in direct sunlight. It’s like wearing plastic clothing. You will sweat a lot. It is lightweight, though, so that nice, and I like the hoodie. A big issue is that the hem started to unravel after the first use, before I even washed it. I had to get out the sewing machine to repair it. Likely not the best value sunblock shirt out there. I generally like Columbia clothing, but this was not really a good value because it is poorly made. I suggest Coolibar. I got one of these, too, and it’s awesome. Well made, soft, doesn’t feel like wearing plastic. This Columbia PFG long sleeve shirt is perfect for chilly fall/winter activities in Southern California. Super comfy loose fit. The lightweight fabric moves with you. Good for layering too on really cold days. Love the colors offered..This is my go to shirt for hikes. It’s my second one. I will certainly buy more. I purchased a medium. I believe these are true to size.I spend a lot of time on the water and was looking for a break in the constant need to apply and reapply sunscreen. This shirt is lightweight, comfortable, easy to move in and even in the direct sun feels like you are wearing nothing. XS actually fits like an XS should, not too tight or overly baggy.I love this shirt so much I now own three of them and remain sunburn free.Acheté pour la pêche je l'utilise aussi en paddle board.. je l'adore. Pas trop serré, léger mais bloque bien les UV, il sèche vite. Je vais certainement l'acheter en d'autres couleurs.Very comfortable. Easy to wash and offers good protection. My skin became very sensitive to the sun and this allows me to be outside without fear of getting sunburned.Great service and shipping.Could lose 1 star because the peach colour keeps staining. But quality it too good.Otherwise, this is the only place I buy PFG shirts.me quedó perfecto y me encanta! sirve para todo, el mar, la lancha, montar bici. Creo que compraré otra. :)
