I needed a thicker jacket for the northern Nevada winters, and was hoping to find a good jacket for less than 100 dollars. This is a good jacket for the value! I love the thumb holes that prevent cold air from going up the sleeve, and I love the heat reflective liner inside the coat. The hood is fleece lined and there is an inside pocket, but there are no hood drawstrings. I'm normally a size M, but I sized up to L so that I could layer underneath. Plus, I have longer arms and wanted the jacket to cover most of my backside. While it is not as flattering a size up, I'm glad I have more room to layer. One issue going a size up is if you do not layer underneath, there is no cinch by the hips to close the gap, so sometimes cold air will seep in underneath if it is windy. If you have wider hips you may not have this issue, but I'm rather lean so it can get a bit drafty around my backside. Also, I wished that the top part of jacket closest to your mouth was fleece lined on the inside. Without a scarf, having the jacket zipped all the way is a bit uncomfortable. The end of the zipper, even with the piece of fabric covering it, sticks me right under my chin. I don't like the fabric rubbing on my face, but it's a small detail. Overall, I really do love this jacket, and it has kept me warm in freezing temperatures and holds up well in the wind!I bought this jacket during the off season to get me ready for the colder months ahead, so I can't comment on the warmth or wind breaking ability just yet, but from what I see I don't think I will be disappointed. When I tried it on I was immediately warmed up, which is a good sign. The quality is good...no loose strings, zippers all work. I love the wrist thingys with the thumb holes! The material they are made with is silky so there's no drag when putting your hand through, and they aren't binding. Only thing I wish this jacket had is a drawstring hood so it could be cinched close to the face. Regardless of that, the hood is a nice size, not too big. I really wanted the purple jacket from last year but couldn't find it in my size anywhere, so I chose the wine color from this year. I'm happy enough with the color. I mean, the color is beautiful, I just really wanted the purple one! The size is standard. I am 5'4, 125 lbs and bought a medium. It is big enough to wear a fleece under, but not too big, which is exactly what I was aiming for. I think a small would have fit me as well, although more form-fitting, but probably would have looked good because of the tapered sides. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase so far.I just wanted to share my experience because of the sizing concerns I saw in other reviews. I am about 5 ft 2 in tall and wear a size 8-10 in pants, I usually need a size medium-large shirt in women's because I am busty. I originally bought the XL size and found it to be roomy and the arms long but I was considering keeping it because I hate when jackets feel binding. However, I was afraid it was just a tad too big and bought the Large to try too. The Large definitely fits closer to my body but is roomy enough to allow for a fleece layer underneath. I feel a slight pull when I pull my arms back in a rowing type motion but it does not feel binding. I love how lightweight it is and how quickly it warms me up. I looked into purchasing this jacket after hearing from a friend how much she loves her's.LOVE, LOVE LOVE this coat so much. Best coat I've ever bought. It's so light weight to carry, yet is SO warm due to the Omni heat included. It is sometimes too warm when I go from a cold outside to inside a mall shopping that I have to take it off which is just fine bc it's so light weight to carry, it's easy to do so. Love that the pockets zip up for when I'm sitting and nothing falls out of the pockets. I also love the thumb hole as it helps keep a draft from going up my arm. I also like the soft warm hood that is included. Only great things to say about this coat. HIGHLY recommend!!It is exactly as mentioned. It looks and feels great. However It does run abit snug in the middle of the body - a larger size would make the sleeves way too long and probably the upper middle would be a bit too loose I think though I didn’t try a large. I am always a medium in size approx 5’4 of avg built not thin skinny :-). You can wear a heavier sweater in it and still be okay - but not layering as it would be too tight then. ( or maybe loose 5/10 lbs then layer if need be lolol) hope you find this helpful. It is as it claimed it to be, warm, lightweight and I like that it flatters my figure. I am 5ft 51/2 inches , 130 lbs , 34-28-36 , slim built. I can wear small or medium but ordered small based on the comments here and it fit me perfectly with room to spare for a tank top and lightweight sweater underneath. I am an avid mountaineer and I can't wait to put it to the test. This coat is absolutely fantastic. I had been eyeing it on Columbia’s website for weeks but was put off by the high price tag, so I was happy to see Amazon selling it for quite a bit less. The color is a beautiful plum and despite it being a “puffy” coat, is still very flattering. I don’t like tight coats, so I sized up from my normal size and it’s perfect. I also super love the soft extended cuffs with thumb holes! It ended up arriving right before the “polar vortex” plummeted temps into the -50s in Minnesota, so this is a dang warm coat for how lightweight it is.Great fit for curvy girls (bust and hips). I usually wear a medium and in Columbia I can go between a medium and a large depending on the jacket. In this jacket I am most comfortable in a large...a little wiggle room in the hips and room for a sweater underneath without it feeling bulky in the shoulders, etc. The sleeves feel a little on the longer side, but I don't mind it. Wine color is true to picture...a very pretty deep cranberry...often this hue in Columbia goes a little fuchsia, but not this jacket.Me encantó el color no está muy corta ni muy larga y de mucha calidad mejor q en las fotos compraría muchas
