Columbia's Women's Chelsea Station is an insulated, hooded jacket with Omni-Heat thermal reflective lining and stain repellency. Supremely cute and versatile, the Chelsea Station insulated, hooded jacket will keep you warm and protected in inclement weather. The thermal reflective lining helps retain body heat to keep you extra cozy and the attached, adjustable storm hood locks the elements out.
I have mixed feelings about this jacket.Pros: * It is really cute -- it looks great on me! * It is warm!Cons: * It doesn't cover enough of me. My previous parka came to below my hips, which was really nice because it blocked a lot of wind that this jacket does not block. This jacket comes only part-way down my hips, and only gets that far if I carefully arrange the jacket. * The jacket is so small that the only place for the pockets is right in front of my belly. When my gloves are in the pockets, I look six months pregnant! That is not the look that I was aiming for!!!!Misc: * If it was a lightweight jacket, then it would make sense that it is small and doesn't cover a lot of me. But the fabric is very warm. So I often end up with parts of me that are fiercely too hot, while other parts of me are exposed to the wind and are way too cold. So I plan to use this as my backup jacket and buy a parka with more coverage to be my main winter coat. * I originally thought that on the coldest days, I would wear this jacket together with my snowpants. But it is so snug that I don't think snowpants would work well underneath it, so I have not tried that.I have had this jacket for two months now, and it still looks brand new. I will report back with info about durability over time.My jacket is black, size medium. I am 5 feet tall, 118 pounds. The jacket is a little snug on me, but still comfortable.I live in Michigan and get cold very easily, so a very warm winter coat is a necessity for me.This is the cutest casual jacket that I've bought in ages. It's much better looking on than in the pictures and seems to be well made.I bought it in black, and while I'm not at all a big person, I went up in size (to large) because so many people said to. Glad that I did, but warning to those with short arms---sleeves are long.... I'm almost 5'8", so it's great for me. I could have gotten away with a medium, but wouldn't have been able to wear it over sweaters. The large doesn't look big or bulky because of the style; it's actually slimming. A few reviewers said that the zipper caught the fabric, but I haven't had that problem. I can't yet say what low temps it will be good to, as I bought it at the end of winter, but it feels very cozy.I really wanted to love this jacket. I'm 5'5", 145lbs, and I ordered this in a medium. It fit great, true to size. It's form-fitting without feeling tight. My one issue with it and the reason I returned it was, because of the style of the jacket, it would ride up and I'd have to keep pulling it down. It's not really a fault in the design or any manufacturing problem, just more of a personal fit issue. I also love that it's a fairly matte black, not shiny like most black jackets.I needed a warm winter coat without looking like a pufferfish. This was the perfect coat for me. It was always warm enough without becoming too hot too wear on the subway. The material feels light and the coat is not too puffy. It is fitted well and the hood folds up so it isn't always in the way. At first I didn't think I would like the shiny inside, but no one ever sees the inside, but it still makes it easy for me to find my coat when I hang it up with everyone else's black coats. I also like that the pockets zip and the cuffs are nice and fitted. This jacket is lightweight, but still fluffy enough to be warm. I haven't had the need to use it but one time. I originally had it and a fleece jacket on, but the fleece was a bit hot so I had to take it off. It should be fine in the winter, but I'm not sure since I'm in the midwest. I ordered a size up and it's fine. The sleeves are a little long but it's not really noticeable. The Jacket I got was was nice and attractive but too tight for me. I ordered medium but seem to be small. I usually weareither small or medium depends on where it is made. I found out that it was made in Vietnam and the medium is small for the size that was on the label. Anyway, I did not bother returning, my only solution is to loss ten pounds or more. The Coats or Jacket in other Asian countries fits well and I never have problem. That's what you get if you do not try thingsfirst. But it's no big deal. Thank you!Incredibly warm for the weight of the jacket, the interior reflective material really helps keep the heat in. I wore it through our Australian winter (not freezing snow cold, but chilly enough!) and it was great with a thinnish sweater underneath. One star off for the length of the jacket - although its a bomber style, I found it creeping upwards and having to pull it back down.I am SO glad I ordered this jacket! I previously owned the omni-heat Columbia jacket with battery power that was recalled, and i was reluctant to send it back. After much surfing and searching, my husband found this and it was delivered via Amazon Prime (LOVE). It's not too puffy at all, and fits like a dream. Now we just need some snow so I can go outside to test how well the omni heat actually works!! Thanks, Columbia! So nice to have an alternative to North Face that is both functional and fashionable.
