These shoes are comfortable and sturdy. They fit as expected and I wear them for everyday and for hiking because they are tough over rugged terrain. The negative I have is that the laces are somewhat slippery and frequently come untied as a result. I would recommend replacing the laces.It took me 12 pairs to return before I found these shoes. They are really super comfortable right out of the box, and after a couple days of hiking they are even more comfortable.Not waterproof or water repellent at all. Although, as a 'running' shoes they work pretty well on evaporating out all the water (snow in my case) I accidentally got in.Really roomy toebox, pretty much like altras, but higher than altras, so if you have a big toe looking up - these shoes are perfect. And no annoying bump which people call 'arch support', so - people with supination, we finally got something nice here!Hope it helps!Love these shoes. One person said it sounds like they were walking on paper bags. Another said maybe it was to let the animals on the trail know you were coming ?. And they were right - these shoes crunch and crackle.II also found them to be too long but narrow. I have arthritis so generally order a half size larger (and the Vitesse were fine). These were a good 1 1/2" extra room from the toe to tip. The shoes are pretty and comfortable but because of the noise I didn't exchange them for a smaller size.These are very stylish hiking/outdoor shoes! Love the minimalist look, and the fact that they are sneaker style but still have plenty of support and traction! Solid shoeI purchased these to be waterproof when walking my dog in the rain. I wore them yesterday in tall wet grass. Feet got wet. I think it's coming in the sides and the top through the tongue of the shoe. The tongue also moves to the side as you wear them if you don't tie them tightly. I ordered a 5.5 and the length of the shoe is good. I have slightly wide feet. They feel a little narrow but I think it's my feet not the shoe. I like the look of them. I can't speak to the durability yet.
