Bought this for trip to Alps in Switzerland. 26-35 degrees daily. I was warm/comfortable to just stand and got hot if I had to do stairs/walk around. This jacket seems to weigh nothing, yet performs great in the cold. The button up neck added a designer touch. In Paris where it continued to snow and also the wind was howling, the button up neck worked better than a scarf. Nice to be able to remove the hood. It reattached easily. The only thing I would want in the next jacket, is the addition of snaps along side the zipper for when you started to warm up. True to size, detailing in the back gave you a contour for this longer jacket. Darlene in VenturaI ordered a large and am 5'3 - 153 lbs. and busty. It is lightweight which I love. Once Michigan comes out of the winter deep freeze (which I prefer a heavier, longer coat for that), this coat fits perfectly and is warm & quite flattering. No problems wearing a sweathirt underneath. I wanted a color besides the popular black and other dark colors because not only do I wear it in moderately cold temps in winter, but it's a nice early-Spring color too. The special thermal shield partial lining is placed where it counts and I think very helpful. I haven't had any problems with the zipper and the sleeves aren't too long. I really like this pretty, functional little coat. It's very comfortable and doesn't make me look like I have extra "fluff". No bulk. Highly recommended.This Jacket is true to size. I ordered the 1x because I am very tall 6’1 and it fits perfectly in the arms and torso. It is not too big but does have enough room that I can wear a bulky sweater underneath. The jacket is nicely made and very stylish. I o1rdered the olive green and black one. I usually have order tall sizes in jackets and extra large so I was afraid the 1x would be too large. It fits well. If you are looking for a warm fall and winter coat this one is great.Even though this coat is lightweight it is plenty warm for a cold Iowa winter. It is a very comfortable coat, I am very happy with this purchaseI purchased this coat in the green. I find it quite comfortable. I like that the fur can be detached. Coat is plenty warm. Funny thing is my sister has the same coat in black. We showed up at a family event with them on.This is quite possibly the warmest jacket I have ever owned. (at age 73 years old that is saying a lot) I purchased it in the color truffle which is beautiful and I have received compliments every time I have worn the jacket. Pennsylvania winters can be quite cold and windy and this jacket blocks all air flow. I have to take it off when I am in a store because I get too warm. I am confident when subzero weather arrives I will be toasty warm. The sleeve openings are designed where no air goes up my arm . The hood is trimmed in man-made fur and it absolutely looks and feels like the real thing. (and no animal was harmed) I am absolutely happy with this purchase. The price was good also. I expect many years of wear out of this lovely jacket. You can never go wrong buying Columbia!Very lightweight not bulky like some jackets, but incredibly warm. Packs well for travel. The fur on the hood looks very realistic. Love this jacket, my sister bought the same one in two different colors. Ordered a size large and fit perfectlyI'm a size 14 women clothing. I have another Columbia coat in XL that I love. I ordered this one in XL and it runs bigger than my other coat, same brand different style. I am thinking about ordering the L in this, and try both, then send one back. The XL is even loose over a thick sweatshirt, so L might be better for me in this particular style. I like the button accents, they're cute. The Columbia omni heat technology is great, keeps you warm without being thick and bulky. Columbia brand seems to be good reliable quality outerwear in general.I was looking for the true winter jacket and from the look of it on the picture it promised to deliver. In person, however, the jacket is super thin - it must have been some kind of error that this jacket is described as "insulated" because it is not. Don't get me wrong, it is not a windbreaker but definitely not for winter, maybe for early fall and spring. Ok, maybe for British Columbia winter but it won't work for winter in any other province. It is super thin and lacks insulation at all and Omni-heat cannot compensate for it. I would not try to wear it outside when it is colder than +6C...Yes, the jacket is pretty but the design and hood and fur (faux fur, thank you for caring for the animals, Columbia!) promise warmth but do not deliver...Size-wise, I would say that it is true to size.
