I really like the look and feel of these pants. They are lightweight and light in color (I ordered the Fossil color, because I live in AZ and needless to say, it is hot in the summer for hiking). I also am a huge nerd and like all the pockets. The problem lies in the sizing, which many reviewers have also stated. I would say that the sizing is way off. I am normally a size 4 and sometimes a size 2. I ordered up to size 6 because of the said reviews. I tried them on and they are so tight -- everywhere. It is not as if I have a problem area that all pants fit uncomfortbly at... It is tight starting above my knee all the way up through my stomach. I cannot believe that I needed to order up two sizes to an 8! This is a very strange fit. I hope the 8 fits correctly, because i think the quality of pant outweighs the weird sizing and plus, we as woman, shouldn't define ourselves to a size. End slightly feminist rant. And end comment. I will update with the size 8 info!---Update---Size 8 is too big. Clearly, these are pants that you should order in (at least) 2 sizes and try them on. Personally, I would rather have pants that are too baggy than too tight, especially while hiking! A belt will solve the problem of them being too big in the waist. For any sizing help - I am 5'5 and fluctuate from 118-123lbs.I ordered these because the price was right (just under 30), but I really wanted the $60 convertible Columbia Silver Sage Straight leg pants. But I'm frugal (tight, cheap, call it what you will!), and went with these. After reading the reviews, I selected size 8 regular even though I'm usually a 6 regular.I got them in and tried them on and the waist was big, but the legs have just the right amount of room for easy movement. Since many reviews complained of the legs being too skinny for comfortable hiking, I decided I'd sew a couple of darts in the back of the waistband and keep them. I examined the inside of the waistband to see if there would be any reason not to dart them and found a length of black elastic which passed through a sleeve along the back of the waistband. with a few button holes at each end. They were buttoned on the end hole, so I adjusted the button further in a well-ah! The waistband now fits perfectly! Understandably, this makes a bit of a baggy backend, but I'm going to be hiking in Belize, not hitting a club, so I don't care if my rear looks sexy or not.Now I'm extra glad I kept these great pants!Wore them all through spain for a month. Lightweight and dried quickly. They have elastic in the waist which can be tightened, which is great if you plan on losing weight on a long hike. It's not the most flattering look, but if you can only have 1 pair of pants for several weeks of hiking then these work well. I rarely rolled them up as it was a hassle. Not sure if zip-off legs would have been just as much of a hassle or not. I think that if the weather will be cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon I would have preferred the zip-off type.I purchased these for what I thought was a excellent price for hiking pants. I was worried because of all the reviews on sizing issues so decided to order a size 10 which I have done before when ordering tight fitting columbia pants. I am normally a 8 (sometime a 6) with a 29 inch waist and the 10x Regular fit perfect in these pants. The material is light and comfortable. It seems a bit baggy in butt but I don't have much in the back end so I guess that happens. Overall they are nice pants if you size up 1 or 2 sizes. These pants are great, they do run about a size small. I saw on the other reviews that they ran small so I ordered up 1 size and they fit well. They are very lightweight and dry quickly. I also really like how the bottoms can roll-up to be fastened into capris. If they had my size in the Grill color I would have ordered that color but the Gravel are nice too, a little darker than I wanted but since they are so light weight they aren't too hot to wear in the early summer.I like these pants. "Gravel" is a nice olive green color and fit pretty well. I am 5'10" and 140 lbs and 6L fits well, except slightly snug in the thighs. The fit is somewhat "fitted" which looks nice and is comfortable for walking, but for more hiking, I would prefer to wear looser pants. Well made and hold up well to washing/drying.I'm a size 8 in most Columbia pants and the size 8 fit me fine. The only thing I don't like about these pants is the high waist creates a sort of awkward bagginess in the crotch. I prefer pants to sit a bit lower on my waist. Other than that they seem like they could dry very quickly and be very comfortable.I ordered a size larger based on previous reviews and I am glad I did. I wear a size 8 & ordered a size 10 and they fit just right-not too tight, not too loose. The waist has a hidden adjustable elastic tab if you need to tighten the waistline. Comfy and lightweight. They travel well and dry fast.Sizing a bit out. I was careful when ordering size to ensure no confusion between US and UK sizes however it is a tad large and baggy. Not sure I;d recommend buying such things online as this is the third pair ordered of this type of trouser that has not fitted. I was hoping third time lucky. They can be worn so not a complete waste, but is frustrating when the sizes are so far out from any standard.Very comfortable trousers. I am a size 10-12 depending on brand. This size 10 are still roomy. They are a bit too long but I'm only 5'2". Overall pleased.Seem to be of poor quality - material is very light but don't seem to be very durable. The hem seems a bit long, and is not fixed, just hangs there... don't like the look of it.Es un pantalón ideal para todo tipo de actividades sobre todo al aire libre cuando no hace mucho frío, pues la tela es bastante ligera y fina.
